“Daddy, you’re not that pretty…”

“Daddy, you’re not pretty, you have no hair” says my soon to be 4 year old son a couple of weeks ago.  At that time, he was riding pretty high on his new haircut that he got from a legit barber shop in town.  It’s a statement he’ll regret when he needs help to pay for college some day 🙂

It’s an amazing ability children have to get so excited with the little things.  The garbage truck, a hot air balloon, the new blow up dragon someone has on their front lawn for Halloween, and the list goes on and on.

This holiday season, I am going to match their excitement and I challenge you to do the same and revel in the little things!

I have my sights set on:

Halloween Season – Candy corn! (which I am going to buy 5 pounds of tomorrow)

Thanksgiving Season – Pumpkin pie!

Christmas Season – A train display… anywhere!

New Years Season – Staying up past 10:00 pm!

And for the record, I do have hair, it’s just choosing to relocate further to the back of my head.

Happy Friday!
